Gauges are a very subjective area. There is no right or wrong answer to what gauges you should have, or what gauges are useless. It is highly dependent upon the car, and what modifications have been done to it.

It would be highly recommended for someone running a very aggressive chip on a 1.8t engine to have a boost gauge, while the stock 1.8t need not worry about such a thing.

I am sure there are more manufacturers out there, but these were the only ones that came to mind, and seem to be the most popular among the German tuners. Omori are generally accepted as being VERY high quality gauges.
